Métaux BlackRock est une société intégrée dans le domaine des métaux et des matériaux qui met tout en œuvre pour bien faire les choses.
Notre projet consiste à construire une usine respectueuse de l’environnement qui traitera le minerai provenant de nos exploitations minières dans le Nord-du-Québec. Le minerai sera ensuite transporté par rail de notre mine près de Chibougamau à notre usine métallurgique à Saguenay, au Québec

Sean Cleary
Sean Cleary, MBA, co-founded BlackRock Metals in 2008 and has over 20 years of experience in financing mining projects, mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing and scaling up companies. He was Executive Chairman & Head of Corporate Development of Groupworks Financial Corp., (now People Corporation) (TSX-V: PEO), Senior Vice-President of Quest Capital (now Sprott Resource Corp.) and co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Caratax Management Ltd., a Canadian mining fund. He also served as director of private and public companies. He holds a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of History from the University of Western Ontario.

Edward Yu, BA, is President of Capital Market Global Limited and has over 30 years of experience in capital markets, iron ore trading, operating agreements and building mine production projects. Pierre Marc Johnson
Pierre Marc Johnson, Ad. E., MD, FRSC, PhD(hc), G.O.Q., is a former Premier of Quebec. Mr. Johnson is of Counsel for the Montreal law firm Lavery de Billy. He has served on numerous Boards of Directors. He is Chairman of the Foresight Committee and member of the Board of Directors of Institut Veolia Environnement (Paris). Mr. Johnson has taught law at McGill University and is the author of various books and articles on globalization and international environmental matters. He acts as a negotiator and mediator in national and international public and private issues. He is currently Chief Negotiator on behalf of the Government of Quebec for the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement. He was also the Negotiator for the Government of Quebec in the Canada-U.S. softwood lumber dispute between 2001 and 2008.

Marc-André Lavoie
Marc-André Lavoie, BA, M.Sc., M. Phil., has extensive experience in international financial markets and natural resources. He is currently Managing Director of Gestion Macber Inc, a private investment company. Previously, he has acted as CEO and Director of two publicly traded natural resources companies. Prior to that, Marc-André Lavoie worked for about 15 years as a capital markets banker, primarily with BNP Paribas in London and New York. He holds a Bachelor from St-Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia, a Masters from the London School of Economics, and a Masters from Cambridge University in the U.K.

Robert P. Boisjoli
Robert is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA<FCA), is a corporate finance/operational professional with over 30 years of operational and advisory experience. Robert is currently the Chief Executive Officer of AKESOgen, Inc., an integrated genomics services company. Robert is also Chairman of Palos Management Inc. and managing director of Atwater Financial Group, a company specializing in mergers and acquisitions, and a partner at Robert Boisjoli & Associates S.E.C., a consulting firm specializing mainly in business valuations. Robert has been the founder of two life science companies where he has acted as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Boisjoli is a consultant/officer (CFO) of various publicly listed companies. He was also an investment banker with various Canadian securities’ firms. Robert also is a Board Member of various not-for-profit organizations in the community and within the profession.

David A. Caldwell
David Alan Caldwell holds a BSc Geology, and a BSc Geophysics from University of Minnesota Institute of Technology, a Msc Geology and Geochemistry from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Consultant and Corporate advisor and world expert in VTM deposits with over 28 years of experience in the development and extraction of mineral resources working. In 2008, he co-founded BlackRock Metals, where he now serves as Director and Advisor. He is a current Director and past President of the Geologic Society of Nevada, former Trustee of the American Exploration and Mining Association and has served as a Director for community development projects in his local community. Mr. Caldwell has participated in the management of exploration and feasibility-level geometallurgic evaluation and development of projects for Gold Fields Mining Company and Santa Fe Pacific Gold prior to stepping away from the major miners as a project generator to co-create and advise several public and privately traded companies. He has played key management roles in the start-up of several mining operations in North and South America including open pit gold and silver mines at Mineral Ridge (NV-USA), Magistral (Sinaloa, Mexico) and Los Lomas (Piura, Peru), and ultra high-grade underground molybdenite (a steel additive and high tech lubricant) at the Ashdown Mine (NV-USA). Mr. Caldwell has over 10 years of direct experience in the steel additives sector.

Michael James Allen
Michael James Allen, MSc. (from Stirling University); BSc. Hon (from Edinburgh University); MIMMM; Consultant for BlackRock Metals since 2009 and has over 40 years of experience in the steel industry, mining and exploration in industrial minerals , base and precious metals in Canada, Europe, China and South East Asia. He has worked with the Capital Markets Group in Hong Kong since 1996 and been a member of BlackRock’s board of directors since 2010.

Nathalie Le Prohon
Nathalie Le Prohon, MBA, has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology and mobility/telecommunications industries, having been President of Nokia Canada and Vice-President Telecommunication, Media and Entertainment Industry at IBM Canada since 2016. She has been serving on numerous Boards since 2007, and currently serves as Director of 5N Plus, Alithya, Casavant Frères and Make-A-Wish Québec. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from McGill University and a Masters of Business Administration from Concordia University.

LeRoy Prichard
LeRoy Prichard, holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from Robert Morris University, Civil Engineer in United States, Vice President Capital Projects, American Titanium Works since 2007. Mr. Prichard has had senior management responsibility with respect to the construction and start-up of at least six major metal mill capital projects during his career. Most recently, Mr. Prichard served as vice president of Steel Technology and Engineering for SeversStal Columbus (formerly known as ServerCorr) prior to joining SeversStal in 2003, Mr. Prichard was the CEO of MMFX Steel Corporation a start-up company with a patented corrosion resistant steel being introduced into the marketplace. Prior to this, Mr. Prichard, as Manager New Steel Technology, was responsible for researching and implementing new steel technologies at Nucor from 1989 to 1995. He was appointed an officer of Nucor Corporation in 1995 responsible for technology development and new capital projects. In 1987, when Mr. Prichard joined Nucor, he was an engineer/project manager for Nucor-Yamato Steel where he worked on
mini-mill construction and start up projects. Mr. Prichard’s steel career began in 1967 at US Steel wherein he held various engineering and construction positions concluding as Department Manager in design engineering.

Gus Hiller
Gus Hiller holds a B.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Arizona. He is President of Pinnacle Consulting since 2007. M. Hiller has many years of demonstrated track record in operations management, corporate restructuring and consulting experience in iron ore and coal mines, pelletizing, DRI and HBI plants, sinter and blast furnace operations and various EAF steel plants both greenfield and distressed. As part of his responsibilities at Pinnacle, he is CEO of Hamilton Specialty Bar, since 2008, a EAF and bar mill operation. Prior to Pinnacle, he had senior operational management responsibilities at AK Steel, Phelps Dodge, Birmingham Steel and Nucor where his duties included mining exploration, project development, M&A, sales, general management and senior management positions.

Patrice Beaudry
Patrice Beaudry, Eng., MBA, PMP, has over 25 years of experience in project management, procurement and business development. Prior to joining BlackRock, he served as Vice-President, Projects at Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines Ltd. and Vice-President Projects-Procurement-Operations and International Development at Railpower Technologies. He also held the position of Senior Vice-President, Vice-President and Director of Alstom Transport, Invensys PLC, Walsh Automation and Rosemount Instruments Ltd. Patrice Beaudry holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the Université de Montréal.

Pierre Cossette
Pierre Cossette LL.M is a lawyer and member of the Quebec Bar since 1981. He has 30 years of experience in legal counseling, project development and energy management in the Primary Metals Industry. Prior to joining BlackRock Metals Inc., he was Director, Energy, North America and Director, Strategic Agreements, Cameroon Projects at Rio Tinto Alcan. As such, he was responsible for the development and implementation of energy supply strategies, major contracts negotiations for Alcan smelters and power plants in Canada and Africa and project development and negotiations with First Nations. Previously, he held the position of Director of Alcan Primary Metal, Legal Department in charge of a team providing legal services to Alcan plants in Canada. Pierre holds a law degree (LL.L) from Université de Montréal and a Master in International Business Law from McGill University.

Alexandre Meterissian
Alexandre has been a government affairs consultant at HATLEY Strategy Advisors since 2013 and has been working with BlackRock since 2014. Before joining HATLEY, Alexandre worked at various ministerial offices in Ottawa. He contributed to the development of foreign policy initiatives while in the office of the Hon. Lawrence Cannon M.P., C.P. before joining the office of the Hon. Jason Kenney M.P., C.P. where he was responsible for relations with cultural communities in the Greater Montreal Area and for communicating numerous government policies. He holds a bachelor’s in political science, economics and philosophy from McGill University as well as a Master’s (M.Sc.) in Strategy from HEC Montréal.

Dan Nir
Dan Nir has held various corporate development and investment banking positions in Toronto and New York and has advised clients on numerous mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. Prior to joining BlackRock Metals, he worked in the investment banking groups of Jefferies & Company, CIBC World Markets and Wellington West Capital Markets where he was responsible for structuring, negotiating and executing mergers & acquisitions mandates as well as equity and debt capital markets transactions. Dan holds an Honours in Business Administration and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Evelyne Bundock
Evelyne Bundock joined BlackRock Metals in 2020. She has more than 30 years of experience in human resources management in both manufacturing and service industries. She has served as a leader of the Human Resources function and has managed Organizational Development teams at companies such as Bombardier, TD Insurance, Hydro-Québec, National Bank of Canada and 5N Plus. Evelyne is a graduate of the University of Montreal in Industrial Relations and is an active member of the Order of Chartered Human Resources Professionals of Quebec.

David Dufour
David Dufour, B.Sc.A. started working with BlackRock Metals in January 2015 and is now Regional Director in Saguenay. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of economic and strategic development. Mr. Dufour has worked as a land surveyor, project manager and director of municipal economic development. He has also worked as a senior political advisor to the Quebec government. He is very involved in Saguenay where he works in close collaboration with his region. Mr. Dufour and his family live in Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean. With his experience in major projects and his understanding of regional issues, Mr. Dufour represents BlackRock Metals for local discussions and decisions in the Saguenay region. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in geomatics sciences from Laval University.

Danie Dutton
Mr. Dutton has been working with BlackRock Metals since 2016 and recently took on the role of Director of Vanadium Process and products in the company’s technical services group. He has 24 years of experience in the iron, steel, titanium, alloys and vanadium industry. He worked for Anglo America at Highveld Steel and Vanadium in South Africa. He also worked at Vanchem Vanadium Products in the Vanadium Chemical, Oxides & FeV Operation, Vanadium Market Development, Vanadium Mine Development, R&D and Analytical Services. In 2011, he founded Symphony Trade & Investments where he marketed commodities such as vanadium chemicals, alumina, iron ore, coal, chrome concentrates, manganese ores. At Symphony he also developed Iron, Steel and Vanadium projects including vanadium battery electrolyte manufacturing including system installations for the South African telecommunication industry. He is educated in Metallurgical Engineering (Extractive) and Chemical Engineering.

Nathalie Laurin
Nathalie Laurin has over 30 years of experience in administration and accounting. The experience gained through working in various roles with increasing responsibilities, primarily in the natural resources sector, has given her a solid mastery of finance and project management. Since 2006, she has acted as corporate secretary and/or chief financial officer for several companies, most notably mineral exploration companies, including Critical Elements Lithium Corporation, Delta Resources Limited and BlackRock Metals.
